Safety is the most important requirement of home for people. For that we need an automated system which can be used for home security. With the development of embedded technology, network and automatic control technology, a remote home security monitoring and alarming system becomes more and more practicable today. By combining wireless sensor network (WSN) and GSM technology, this paper designs a low-power consumption remote home security monitoring and alarming system that can detect the leaking of raw gas and fire, and send alarm message to the house owner’s mobile phone. At the same time it will detect the fall monitoring of human bodies and it will get the accurate output results to the concern persons.

DESCRIPTION

In this project, a low-power consumption remote home security alarm system developed by applying WSN and GSM technology is presented. In home security we also design a robot which is used for the sensing of obstacles. When the robot going in the forward direction if there is any obstacle occur it takes left / right direction and it is a continuous process. At that time the fire (or) gas leakage occurs the robot stops and gives the alarm and at the same time it sends the message to the concern person.

The fall monitoring section consists of memes sensor and ZigBee module is present .this kit is fixed on to the person. If the person is sitting/standing no fall detected if the person is falling down. The device which is fixed to the person will send signal to the main node. and the main node will sends the information to concern person

TECHNOLOGY

GSM:

GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) is the technology that underpins most of the world’s mobile phone networks. The GSM platform is a hugely successful wireless technology and an unprecedented story of global achievement and cooperation. GSM has become the world’s fastest growing communications technology of all time and the leading global mobile standard, spanning 218 countries. GSM is an open, digital cellular technology used for transmitting mobile voice and data services. GSM operates in the 900MHz and 1.8GHz bands GSM supports data transfer speeds of up to 9.6 kbps, allowing the transmission of basic data services such as SMS.

ZIGBEE:

Zigbee is new wireless technology guided by IEEE 802.15.4 Personal Area Network standard. It is primarily designed for the wide range controlling applications and to replace the existing non-standard technologies. It currently operates in 868 MHz band at a data rate of 20Kbps in Europe, 914MHz band at 40kbps in USA, and the 2.4GHz ISM bands Worldwide at a maximum data-rate of 250kbps.

Zigbee is used to verify whether user’s truncation is possible or not. One of the main advantages of this ZIGBEE communication is that it provides a noise free communication, the amount of noise added in this type of communication is very less compared to the other wireless communications.
